I could kill Kareena Kapoor: Sonam

Actress Sonam Kapoor maybe a fashionista. She says that her look in the film Players was the closest to what she is in real life.

"Everyone relates my fashion style to the one in the movie Ayesha. However, I think the way my character dresses in Players is more me," she says.

Ask her whom she considers the best dressed in the film industry and she is quick to say, "Karisma Kapoor. She is elegant, and knows exactly what suits her!" And what about the one person who looks fab in almost anything? "It's got to be Kareena Kapoor. I could kill her. She looks awesome in just about anything she wears. And can carry off every look so well."

So what's next for the actress? She'll be starting shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's film next month in which she is paired opposite Abhay Deol.

Kareena or Katrina being considered for Ekta-Karan joint venture

Film maker Karan Johar wants Kareena Kapoor as the leading lady in his joint venture with Ekta Kapoor, but the latter wants Katrina Kaif.

Karana and Ekta have come together to make a love story with a twist and would cast the lead pair soon, says a media report.

The film’s leading lady is a strong and sexy character, and both KJo and Ekta want a top actress to play the role.

But while Ekta is convinced that Katrina Kaif is best suited for the role, Karan feels the role needs a performer and wants to cast Kareena Kapoor.

Kareena has worked for KJo in Kurbaan, We Are Family and the upcoming Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and he has directed her in Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

KJo makes no bones about his fondness for her. At a recent event he said,Kareena is the in-house heroine for us. Period.

The report says, while Ekta respects Karan’s judgement and his friendship with Bebo, she is not sentimental enough to ignore the box office.

She feels Katrina works a certain magic with her luck factor, and for Ekta that is a big factor.

Besides,she has already signed Kareena for the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai with Akshay Kumar, so naturally she wants to cast Kat for this one.

The decision will be taken soon.

Both the producers will sit together and figure out which actress works best, and who has the dates to give them for their joint production.

Who’s designing Kareena Kapoor's wedding dress?

The buzz around the designers behind Kareena-Saif’s wedding is only getting stronger.

DNA spoke to Kareena’s favourite designers like Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar on what Kareena is likely to don on the big day.
Says Designer Manish Malhotra, “Bebo’s like my little sister and we have worked on so many films. She is family to me and though she hasn’t come to me with any wedding dates, so to know what outfit she will don is out of question. But one thing is certain that whatever she chooses to wear, she will look like a princess - beautiful and divine as always.”

Veteran fashion designer Ritu Kumar says, “I do not know about their dates being finalised. They haven’t even announced anything. So I’m not in a position to comment on the same for now.”

Saif conned me into action in Agent Vinod: Kareena

She was spotted in a handful of action sequences in the 2008 dud Tashan. And now, Kareena Kapoor is back to performing stunts in the upcoming spy thriller Agent Vinod starring beau Saif Ali Khan.

“Yes, it’s true. I have always stated that action stuff isn’t for me but for Agent Vinod, I ended up doing a lot of stunts,” confirms Kareena. The real-life couple has completed shooting for the Sriram Raghavan-directed venture which was beset with teething problems in its early stages and will finally release on March 23.

Kareena admits that Saif conned her into the deal, something she has refused to do in most other films. “He would keep saying, ‘it’s not tough. And you look very good doing stunts.’ And now, I keep telling Saif that he made me do stunts throughout the film saying the same thing,” she quips.

Earlier this year, Kareena had injured herself while shooting in New Delhi for a high-octane stunt sequence for the film. She had apparently suffered a sprained neck when she fell from a safety harness. The actor was supposed to eject from a helicopter using the harness and fire guns while at it. Despite her bruises, the actor continued shooting after taking painkillers and injections to stem the discomfort.

It’s believed that the Kapoor girl’s role in Agent Vinod has shades of grey, and the actor has performed her own stunts for the first time, for which she had to work on toning her body. Ask her what genre she and Saif will attempt next, and she says, “I would like to do a romantic film - something along the lines of Hum Tum (2004 movie directed by Kunal Kohli) - with Saif. I really hope someone soon offers us a story like that soon,” she says.

Rumours of the couple tying the knot after the release of the spy thriller reached a crescendo, especially after Saif’s father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi passed away recently after a being ill for a while. The former cricket star was reportedly eager for the duo to settle down, especially since they’ve been together for about three years now.

Sources say that the wedding date has been set around the last week of March or the first week of April. The couple hasn’t officially annnounced their plans yet, and both were recently quoted as saying that all talks of tying the knot would have to wait for their film’s release.

"I've always had a crush on Bebo" - Imran

Unlike his contemporaries Imran Khan doesn't have the image of a skirt-chaser. But of course, even he has some well-guarded secrets of his `boyhood' days.

This young actor, who has been very successful in the rom-com space with I Hate Luv Storys (2010) and Mere Brother ki Dulhan (2011) hitting the bulls eye at the box office, is getting ready for yet another rom-com co-produced by Dharma Production and UTV Motion Pictures.
Ek Main aur Ekk Tu, which is prescribed as the perfect date film, has Imran romancing Kareena Kapoor for the first time. It has been directed by debutant Shakun Batra, who is very close to Imran and who actually indulged him by casting him opposite the girl of his dreams.

Imran, who turns a shade of red even when you mention Kareena casually, says, "Kareena is perhaps the most beautiful actress that I have worked with. And I've worked with some real beauties.''

Long before he even dreamt of being an actor, Imran had a huge crush on Bebo. Says he, "I found her beautiful right from her first film Refugee. I couldn't articulate my feelings then, but perhaps I nursed a silent crush. When we started working together, we got along really well. We had a rollicking time shooting for EMAET. I observed her closely while we were working and even took her pictures without her knowledge. She sometimes looked so beautiful and ethereal that clicking her was a natural response."

The EMAET promos have created a buzz amongst youngsters and the trade. Two of the songs - the title track and Aunty ji are also potential chart busters. As Imran says, "With Bebo by my side, everything is working out just fine.'' Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu releases on February 10, 2012.
