Kareena Kapoor is known for her sense of style. In fact, her dresses have often become a film’s unique selling proposition (USP). For example, many went to watch Kambakkht Ishq to check out Bebo’s designer wardrobe.

Her orange saree in a song from Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots also generated a lot of interest. So, when she had to shoot for the song Criminal in her upcoming superhero flick RA.One, the actress made sure that she surpasses her own sexiness quotient. Kareena ripped her dress, a Roberto

A source informed Mumbai Mirror, “Earlier, Kareena was supposed to wear this Roberto Cavalli gown. This dress was bought specially for the song. However, when the shoot finally started, everyone including Kareena’s designer Manish Malhotra felt that she needed to look more glamorous. By then it was too late to look for a new dress.”

“Manish suggested chopped off the existing gown and made it shorter. Everyone loved the end result. Including producer and lead actor Shah Rukh Khan,” added the source.

When contacted Kareena Kapoor confirmed the news and said, “The dress that I wear in the song was actually cut from a gown. The look needed to be glamorous. It was Manish’s idea and I think it was great. It was a Roberto Cavalli gown made in to a sexy dress.”

Recalling the experience, Manish Malhotra said, “We chopped the gown on the sets. The song required that. We cut it out and it worked for the better. Kareena looked hot and we are getting super response to it. Her looks in RA.One are very different from Golmaal 3 and Bodyguard. Feels superb.”

Kareena Kapoor rains gaalis on Shahrukh in ‘Ra.one’ promo

Till now, the promos of ‘Ra.one’ didn’t focus on her character; the new trailer of the film will surely be a delight for all Kareena Kapoor fans.

In the promo, whenever Kareena sees Shahrukh Khan, she gets scared and unleashes a volley of cuss words, which sounds as refreshing as Kareena’s looks in the film. The dialogues read like this, “Tere baap ki…Tere tau ka poda….” She is a bindaas Punjabi girl who doesn’t worry about her lingo or what she is saying. However, her cute kid does remind her of the foul language.

It seems slangs suit Kareena. When she said ‘Tere Ma Ki ..’ while abusing her beau in the movie Jab We Met, audiences were thrilled to watch her in that particular scene. In the movie Golmaal 3, Bebo uttered some newly coined cuss words to the audience’s amusement, and we adored her for her attitude.

Again Kareena gets abusive on big screen but you will surely fall in love with her character!

SRK doesn't want to trouble Kareena

If there's one actor right now who is extremely busy it's Shah Rukh Khan. The actor is leaving no stone unturned to promote his forthcoming film Ra.One so much so that he is making at least one media appearance every day.

On Saturday, the actor was also seen simultaneously on three reality shows for their grand finale. However, among all this one wonders why the leading lady of the film, Kareena Kapoor, has been side-lined or why isn't she seen along with Shah Rukh in any of the media events.

Ask the generous hearted King Khan and he says, 'Kareena currently is in Rome and though whenever she gets to know of any promotional event she calls me to check if she's required, it isn't possible for her to leave her shooting in Italy and come all the way here to promote the film. She is such a close friend of mine that I don't consider it ethically right to keep calling her for each and every event. All the tie ups are something that I have done as a producer to it is my prerogative as a producer to promote it. Whenever there will be a regular event I am sure not just Kareena but the entire cast will join me.'

The actor declares that Kareena would be returning on 6th and then the two would be leaving on a city tour.

Heroine gets 130 costumes

We have heard of diva antics, but UTV Motion Pictures and Madhur Bhandarkar take being a ‘heroine’ to a whole new level. For their project Heroine, the production house and the director have decided to allot a whopping Rs 1.2 crore of the film’s budget to costumes.

A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror that the film’s leading lady, Kareena Kapoor, will have 130 costumes designed especially for her by ace designer Manish Malhotra.

The source explained, “Kareena plays a diva at the prime of her career. Each scene will have at least four costume changes. Heroine is an extravagant project and they are leaving no stone unturned to make it look as glamorous as possible.”

Reportedly, Kareena is expected to meet with Malhotra next weekend for dress fittings. And apparently, National Award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar will also be present to oversee the costume trials.

The source also informed us that Rs 5 lakh of the film’s budget was previously spent on costumes that the former leading lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, wore, during the nine days that she shot for Heroine. However, all those costumes were of no use, as Kareena is a different size.

When contacted, Manish Malhotra told Mumbai Mirror, “I have never made so many costumes for one actress in my entire career, till date.”

Kareena’s each scene will have at least four costume changes.
