Agent Vinod complete, release date final

The long-delayed Saif Ali Khan production venture Agent Vinod has been completed and the film will release on March 23, says director Sriram Raghavan.

Raghavan revealed that the celebrity couple - Saif and Kareena Kapoor - shot for the last day of Agent Vinod on December 24.

"My shooting with Saif and Kareena is over. We are all done. Saif and Kareena did their last shooting for my film on December 24 and left for their holiday. We are now in post-production work. The release date is March 23," said the director known for making thrillers Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddaar.

The Kareena-Saif wedding would follow in the last week of March or the first week of April.

The next schedule of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine has been advanced from the end of February to the middle of February to accommodate the promotion and release of Agent Vinod into Kareena's clogged schedule, followed by the wedding and honeymoon.

"After the release of Agent Vinod, the wedding will happen immediately. Kareena and Saif don't want to delay it any more," said a source.

Bebo flaunts her creativity!

Kareena is one multi faceted actress.

Bebo is not only planning to launch her own fashion line but is also keen on launching her makeup range. She had told TOI.com, "I am very much into makeup and keen on may be starting my own collection someday."

That aside, the actress startled everyone when she recently directed one of her scenes!

A source worked on the film 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' revealed, "In the scene where Imran and Kareena had to act as if they were drunk, Kareena said she will direct it herself. She pleasantly surprised everyone around as she did a good job! The scene is indeed fun."

The film is rom-com and is slated to release close to Valentine's Day this year.

Age matters, feels Kareena Kapoor!

The actress decided to play the characters right in her new rom-com film with Imran Khan, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

Kareena's character is slightly older than her soul-mate Imran Khan, and that's exactly how she insisted they should be.

Says a source, "There was really no need for the age factor to be brought in because Imran and Kareena look perfectly matched on screen. But since Kareena started her career long before Imran and since he insists on talking about what a crush he has on her from his adolescence, both Kareena and her producer Karan Johar felt it was better to set the age factor in perspective in the plot."

Imran's spokesperson confirms, "Yes, Kareena plays a two-year older character. It's just a fleeting mention in the script."

Interestingly, in the pursuit of unusual pairings and permutations, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is becoming increasingly flexible about the actress' age factor.

The Kareena-Imran pairing is not the first where attention is drawn to the female in the pair being older.

In Wake Up Sid too, Konkona Sen-Sharma had played a character older than Ranbir Kapoor.

Now we hear Karan Johar plans to cast Kareena with Ranveer Singh in a future project though that's not confirmed yet.

Like Imran Khan, Ranveer Singh is a huge Kareena Kapoor fan. And he doesn't mind doing a Notting Hill with his idol.

Kareena Kapoor turns Best Bollywood actress of 2011

Actress Kareena Kapoor has topped the Best Bollywood actress of the year 2011 polls conducted by Oneindia.

The Bollywood star had two releases like Ra.One and Bodyguard and both have witnessed huge success at the Box Office. In Oneindia Poll Survey, Bebo has beaten another actress Vidya Balan by a margin of 1% votes.

B-Town stars like Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone were nominated in the Best Actress poll. Kareena Kapoor pushed aside all her colleagues and became the list of the Best Bollywood actress of the year 2011 with 35.4% votes.

Vidya Balan had two big releases like The Dirty Picture and No One Killed Jessica, which have become big hits. Both were female oriented movies and Vidya has received lots of accolades for her performance in them. In Oneindia Poll Survey, she has lost the title of the Best Bollywood actress of 2011 by the margin of just 1% votes.

Kareena declines to watch Angelina's "Gia" & Baby Agent Vinod

It came as no surprise that Madhur Bhandarkar wanted Kareena Kapoor to prepare for her role in his ambitious project Heroine. And one of the ideas he had in mind included studying Angelina Jolie’s outing in the award-winning TV film, Gia (1998).

Agent Vinod to clash with TezzHowever, Kareena wasn’t too keen. “He wanted Kareena to watch Gia because of Angelina’s performance. Although Bebo understands the character, the idea was to help her get a tighter grip on the intricacies. But she wanted to keep things natural,” says an insider.

Kareena confirms: “Yes, Madhur said, ‘watch Gia and look at Jolie’s performance.’ But I told him to let me get into Heroine completely blank; I asked him to guide me. I don’t want to take on performances of other actors. I want to play the role like I essay other parts in a natural way. I don’t want to prepare for it.”

Gia tells the story of a rebellious teenager, who becomes a successful model. But failed relationships, drugs and emotional instability, bring her career and life to an end. Heroine, on the other hand, is based on the life of a superstar actress. And how she lives through the politics, fame and lonely depths of failure.

A few days ago, Kareena wrapped up the first schedule of Heroine. It also stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda.

“They enter my character’s life in different phases. Arjun is a great friend and I am very fond of him. Plus, we’ve worked together in We Are Family (2010). Though I’ve never worked with Randeep, I’ve heard he is a fantastic actor,” says Kareena.

"Agent Vinod is our baby" - Kareena

Unbelievable as it may sound but Saif Ali Khan's dream project AGENT VINOD has been delayed all over again after being pushed ahead from February to March. While the constant flip-flop around the release plan is hardly the kind of situation either Saif or Kareena would have wanted to be in, there is also some heartburn reserved for Ajay Devgn since the film is now clashing with his TEZZ heads-on.

'

'I don't remember when was the last time a big film saw a change in plan so often,' says a trade follower, 'AGENT VINOD was earlier supposed to arrive in the middle of this year. Then it got pushed to December. Post that it was pitched around the Valentine's Day in February and now it is March. I hope this time around it is final.''

Incidentally TEZZ has been threatened by AGENT VINOD in as many as two instances, first in December and now in March. The Ajay Devgn starrer too has faced its own challenges in reaching the finishing line (a song along with a 10 day shoot still remains for the film) and while the makers had earlier announced that 23rd March was going be the D-day by all means, arrival of AGENT VINOD on the same day may well lead to some rethinking on their part.

While Ajay has kept mum around the release of TEZZ so far, Kareena is gung ho about AGENT VINOD and feels that not much needs to be read in the 'slight delay' that the film is seeing. She says, ''Saif and (director) Sriram Raghavan have worked together in EK HASINA THI and share an amazing working relationship. They understand each other's world and this is what's going to make AGENT VINOD really special for them. The film is taking some time but that's because it is our baby and we want the best product for the audience.''

Well, the million dollar question is whether this would be enough to change Ajay's heart?
